Fluffernutter was rescued her from a local shelter on Sunday, September 13, 2015. She arrived in rather rough shape, with urine scald, mites, infected eyes, and a urinary tract infection. The rescue of Fluffernutter is in memory and honor of Snickerdoodle, another sick bunny that we were working to rescue from a shelter and welcome to our Sanctuary. Unfortunately, she died at the shelter during spay surgery. We had tried desperately to rescue the girl before the spay, knowing full well she was too ill to undergo the procedure. With a heavy heart, we had to say goodbye to Snickerdoodle, a bunny we never got the chance to meet and properly love.
Moving forward, we are happy to help Fluffernutter, our newest ward.
